Fakistra is a small unorganised pebble cove below Tsagarada, reached by a demanding path and exposed to eastern Aegean swell.
Fakistra lies beneath Pelion's dense eastern forest, enclosed by rock and fed by seasonal water from the slopes. Its compact shore and absence of buildings preserve a wild character.
The descent is steep, uneven and tiring on return. Wear closed shoes, carry water and avoid the cliff base after rain. East wind can make the cove unsafe despite its enclosed shape.
