Papa Nero extends south of Agios Ioannis along a green-backed coast. Its length and nearby camping create a relaxed base with more space than Damouchari and fuller services than Fakistra.
East swell can make the water rough and steepen the shore break. The access road narrows through the settlement, so walking from nearby accommodation is preferable during peak weeks.
