Giannas Beach

Giannas is a compact pebble beach within walking distance of Gaios, offering clear water and more conventional shore access than Plakes.

Our take

Use Gaios's southern cove for an easy half-day, arriving before its small pebble shore fills

Giannas gives a town-based stay a genuine beach option without a bus timetable. The cove is small, the entry is pebbly and the water often takes on the transparent green-blue typical of Paxos's east coast. Limited space makes timing important in July and August.

Walk in the morning, carry water and use aqua shoes. Shade and services should not be assumed, and boats may pass offshore. Families can enjoy the cove in calm conditions but should assess depth, stones and traffic on the day.
