Kedrodasos Beach

Kedrodasos rewards a rough final approach with sand, rock shelves and protected juniper habitat, but offers no dependable visitor services.

Our take

Dunes, junipers and open water beyond Elafonissi

Kedrodasos lies east of Elafonissi behind low dunes and a coastal grove of junipers often mistaken for cedars. Small sandy pockets alternate with smooth rock, and the spread-out shoreline feels less compressed than its famous neighbour even when day visitors arrive.

The vegetation is fragile: do not hang belongings from branches, light fires or camp among the trees. The final road is rough and the foot approach crosses uneven ground. Bring water, shade and closed footwear, and reconsider the trip during strong west or southwest wind because the open sea becomes uncomfortable quickly.
