A lively Ionian-facing beach with a proper promenade
Kourouta is built for an uncomplicated full day. Fine sand runs beside a developed waterfront with cafés, restaurants and rooms, while the open Ionian horizon delivers an unobstructed sunset. Organised sections are sociable, but the long shore leaves space beyond them.
The west-facing coast responds quickly to wind, so families should assess waves before entering. Use marked approaches through the beachfront rather than crossing sensitive sand vegetation, and expect the promenade to stay lively well after swimmers leave.
