One kilometre from Kourouta, Palouki keeps the same fine sand and west-coast sunset but with less nightlife and a small harbour nearby.

A quieter sandy shore around a small fishing harbour
Palouki is the calmer counterpart to Kourouta. Fine sand extends on both sides of a small port, and seasonal tavernas and campsites supply the essentials without creating a continuous entertainment strip. It suits travellers who want an easy road-access beach and less music.
Swim well away from the harbour entrance and watch the afternoon forecast: the open Ionian shore can build waves. Facilities are concentrated around businesses, so carry shade and water if walking to an empty stretch.
