A broad Xanthi shore with space beyond the summer bars
Myrodato is one of the principal swimming beaches on the Xanthi coast. The organised access points are sociable in summer, but the uninterrupted sand makes it possible to walk beyond the music and find more room.
There is no meaningful natural shade and the open Thracian Sea can become choppy. Use lifeguarded sectors when flags are raised, take a secure umbrella and avoid parking on dunes. Services contract sharply outside the main season, so arrive self-sufficient in spring or autumn.
