Myrtia is a quiet Ionian shore reached by country road from Kalamos village, backed by the island's dense pine-covered slopes.
The appeal is shade, clear water and a low-key setting rather than organised beach service. Road and path conditions can change, so ask locally before setting out and do not block access with a vehicle. Bring water, shoes and a waste bag. There is no dependable lifeguard, and boat wash or afternoon wind can alter otherwise calm conditions.
