Psani gives Nafpaktos a one-kilometre town beach with pebble, tree shade and cafés, convenient for a swim between walks through the old port.
Our take
A plane-tree promenade west of Nafpaktos harbour
Psani begins west of Nafpaktos's Venetian harbour and follows the town for about a kilometre. Mature plane trees shade the promenade, shops and cafés sit immediately behind it, and the Gulf of Corinth is usually calmer than an open Ionian beach.
The shore is pebbly, so shoes improve entry. This is a lived-in urban beach rather than a resort enclosure: cyclists, walkers and swimmers share the waterfront, and individual sections differ in seating and supervision.
