Why go

A sheltered beach village and easy first base on Andros.

Batsi curves around a sandy bay with restaurants, swimming and quick road access to northern Andros's beaches and walking routes.

Once a fishing village, Batsi now provides Andros's most convenient resort base. Houses rise around a protected bay, with a sandy town beach, small marina and waterfront restaurants all within an easy walk.

The village is well placed for beaches around Agios Petros and Fellos, the tower of Agios Petros and trail sections in the north. It lacks Chora's museums and architecture, but offers simpler beach days and attractive sunsets over Gavrion Bay.

Practical information

Batsi is about fifteen minutes by bus or car from Gavrio ferry port. Summer parking is limited; use buses for Gavrio and Chora when schedules suit.
