A historic port town built around an early Christian landmark.
Parikia is Paros's ferry hub, with the Panagia Ekatontapiliani church, a Venetian kastro, old-town lanes and sunset waterfront dining.
Parikia's great monument is Panagia Ekatontapiliani, one of Greece's most important early Christian church complexes. Nearby, the Archaeological Museum presents Cycladic sculpture and finds from Paros and Antiparos, while the kastro reuses ancient marble in its medieval walls.
The old town spreads behind a busy ferry waterfront, with cafés, shops and residential lanes leading towards Livadia beach. Parikia is less curated than Naousa and often more convenient, especially for travellers moving between islands.
Practical information
Most ferries arrive in the centre and island buses start nearby. Traffic becomes congested around sailings; walk from port accommodation and use the Pounda route for Antiparos.
