Paros balances Parikia's historic port and Naousa's dining scene with marble villages, wind-sports beaches and easy connections across the Cyclades.
Parian marble was prized in antiquity and shaped monuments across the Greek world. The ancient quarries near Marathi, the Byzantine church of Ekatontapiliani and Lefkes village carry that history inland, while the old Byzantine path crosses terraces towards Prodromos.
Around the coast, Kolymbithres has sculpted granite coves, Golden Beach draws windsurfers and small ferries make Antiparos an easy extension. Parikia and Naousa offer different evening moods. Paros is popular for good reason, but its quieter interior should be part of the trip.
Practical information
Paros has an airport and frequent ferries. Buses connect main towns and beaches; rent a car only for dispersed villages and avoid peak-hour roads around Naousa.
