Architect Marie Rivalant created Mediterraneo as a personal seafront guesthouse rather than a standardised hotel. Its seven rooms differ in outlook and layout, from garden-facing accommodation to a ground-floor suite with direct access to the water. Breakfast on the terrace draws on Greek, Turkish and French influences, fitting Kastellorizo's position and the owner's approach without pretending the island is culturally simple.

Direct water access uses a ladder and should be assessed for swell, confidence and mobility every time.
