Understand why river power, factory labour and textiles belong at the centre of Naousa's modern history
ERIA fills the largest gap left by a wine-and-archaeology-only visit. Its permanent exhibition, Threads of History, follows the rise and decline of textile production in a town once compared with major European manufacturing centres. Machinery, photographs, documents and workers' accounts connect the factory floor to family life, migration and the river infrastructure outside. The adapted industrial building is itself evidence, so look at its scale and relationship to the Arapitsa.
Plan sixty to ninety minutes. The centre has published information online, but exhibition hours and guided access can change around school visits or events; confirm before arrival. Pair it with the riverside walk rather than driving between the two. Some interpretation may be stronger in Greek, making a guided visit worthwhile. Ask before photographing documents, and contact the museum in advance about lifts, toilets and the complete step-free route if access details will determine the visit.
