Ageri Restaurant

Ageri serves modern Greek cuisine on the Frikes waterfront, making it a focused dinner stop for travellers based in northern Ithaca.

Our take

Make a northern-island evening of modern Greek cooking beside the small harbour at Frikes

Ageri gives Frikes a dinner destination beyond the default sequence of grilled fish and harbour tables. Its current site identifies the kitchen as modern Greek and publishes a 2026 menu and wine list. That makes it useful for seeing how local seafood, vegetables and Ionian references can be handled with more deliberate presentation while the working harbour remains immediately outside.

Reserve during July and August and ask for the actual opening pattern in shoulder season. Frikes can be breezy, so request a protected table if that matters. State allergies in advance, particularly with composed sauces and seafood. Fish prices and market availability should be discussed before ordering, and a current menu is still subject to daily supply. If driving from Vathy, allow for narrow, winding roads and keep alcohol consumption compatible with the return journey.
