An Eristos taverna that makes a beach day easier to pace
Tropicana sits in the Eristos area, where a proper meal is useful because the beach is well away from Livadia's larger cluster of tavernas. Treat it as part of a slow beach day: ask what has been cooked that morning, look for vegetable dishes and simple grilled food, and choose according to the day's board rather than expecting a large fixed menu. The setting matters as much as novelty.
Island restaurants can change their weekly rhythm with ferry traffic, weather and the stage of the season. Call before making a special journey, particularly in May, June, September or October, and mention dietary requirements when reserving. Eristos is served by the island bus in season, but the final evening departure may be too early for dinner. Photograph the current timetable or arrange a taxi rather than assuming a late ride back.
