Paths, coves and open-air culture on a protected peninsula
Paros Park protects the Ai Yiannis Detis peninsula from the kind of unplanned development that has transformed other Cycladic coastlines. Waymarked paths cross a spare landscape of granite, herbs and small coves, with views towards Naousa Bay and the lighthouse. In summer, the amphitheatre adds concerts and film screenings to the walking and swimming.
Pick one or two routes rather than rushing the entire network, and combine them with a swim at Monastiri or a quieter cove. Shade is limited, so avoid the strongest afternoon heat and bring water. Check the park’s current programme and any access guidance before setting out.
