Afetka represents the island at its least serviced: a modest shore reached through the olive landscape, with no expectation of a beach business. The walk and solitude are at least as important as the swimming. Wind direction determines whether this cove is preferable to Agia Sofia or Prasini Ammos.
Confirm the current route in the harbour, use closed footwear and carry an offline map. Leave early enough to avoid walking unknown paths in darkness. There is no rescue provision or drinking water, and families should choose a shorter beach route if children are already tired.
