Aspra Halikia Beach

Aspra Halikia is one of Trizonia's small natural shores, reached on foot and better suited to self-sufficient swimmers than beach-service seekers.

Our take

Seek a small pale-pebble cove when you are happy to trade facilities for a quieter island swim

This modest cove offers contrast with red-toned Pounta and the busier village shore. Pale stones, clear gulf water and a greener backdrop create an appealing stop on the island circuit, but space and usable shoreline can vary with winter weather.

Ask locally for the clearest current path, bring water and use shoes with grip. Do not count on shade, toilets or a lifeguard. Check the water entry for rock and sea urchins, keep away from private moorings and carry all waste back to the settlement.
