Walk south for Trizonia's red-toned shore and a broad view across the Gulf of Corinth
The colour and setting distinguish Pounta from the island's smaller harbour-side swims. Its southern outlook opens across the gulf towards the Peloponnese, and on clear days the bridge forms a distant landmark. The beach remains relatively natural despite being the island's best-known shore.
Walk from the settlement in proper sandals or shoes and bring water and shade. Pebbles can be hot and the entry changes with weather, so aqua shoes help. Facilities and lifeguard cover should not be assumed, and the return path needs a light if dinner keeps you out after dusk.
