Elia has enough sand to hold luxury concessions, water sports and quieter edges, with seasonal bus and boat links reducing the need to drive.
Our take
A long, highly serviced beach on Mykonos's south coast
Elia is one of Mykonos's longest developed beaches. The centre is dominated by organised seating and restaurant service, while the outer ends provide more room and a long-standing naturist and LGBTQ-friendly section. The south-facing bay is generally protected from the meltemi.
Prices can be high and policies vary between operators, so ask about minimum spend before taking a lounger. Keep clear of marked water-sports corridors and confirm the final bus or beach-boat departure if not driving.
