Psarou combines calm clear water with some of Mykonos's most expensive beach service, limited public space and heavy yacht traffic offshore.
Our take
A sheltered bay where reservations matter more than spontaneity
Psarou is a compact south-coast bay known for premium beach clubs and celebrity clientele. The physical beach is appealing—fine sand and shelter from the meltemi—but much of the central shore is commercially managed and reservations dominate summer days.
Ask for all seating and minimum-spend terms in writing before settling in. Public access to the shore must remain possible, although finding unclaimed sand can be difficult. Swimmers should stay inside buoys because tenders and yachts operate beyond them.
