A modest local shore near the second harbour, not a resort beach
Mandraki is useful precisely because Kastellorizo has few beaches in the conventional sense. The small shore sits by the island's second harbour and can offer an easier entry than a vertical waterfront ladder. It is not a long sand day or a reason to cross the Aegean on its own. Check water cleanliness, boat movement and the day's wind before entering, and keep away from any active mooring or launch area.
The walk from the main harbour is manageable but exposed, with little reason to carry more than a light beach kit. Bring water, footwear and shade because a nearby building or map pin does not guarantee a public toilet, shower or open café. Space is limited; leave access clear for residents and working boats. If the water is choppy or harbour activity is high, use a sheltered ladder recommended locally or take a licensed water taxi to Agios Georgios instead.
