Pachia Ammos Beach

Pachia Ammos is a striking, largely unorganised east-coast beach with a steep bank of fine sand, clear water and full exposure to local wind.

Our take

A dune-like sweep of sand with no built-in comfort

Pachia Ammos stands apart from Tinos's rockier coves because a high mound of fine sand rises behind the shore. The setting feels raw despite being near Lychnaftia, with no continuous development and little shade.

The approach is rough, the sand is tiring underfoot and east or north wind can make swimming unsafe. Carry all supplies, avoid trampling vegetation on the dune edges and leave no rubbish. It is better for a short calm-weather visit than an equipped family day.
