Sarakiniko is a compact sand-and-pebble cove with clear water, tavernas and a seasonal boat connection, quieter than Parga's town beaches outside peak hours.
Our take
A sheltered Parga cove beyond the olive groves
Sarakiniko lies northwest of Parga at the end of a green valley. Fine pebble and coarse sand line a sheltered cove, with tavernas and organised seating close to the water. It feels removed from town even though seasonal boats make the journey simple.
The road alternative is winding and parking is finite. Confirm the last return boat before lunch, and do not swim across approach lanes used by excursion craft. Morning offers the best balance of calm water and available space.
