An independent hillside home with a kitchen, balcony and a real sense of island residence
Evgenikon is the more self-sufficient of Oinousses' scarce overnight options. Its three individually arranged homes have kitchens, air conditioning, furnished outdoor space and laundry facilities, so they suit travellers staying long enough to buy breakfast supplies and settle into the island rather than treating it as a ferry excursion. The hillside position gives separation from the quay and, depending on the unit, broad views over the strait.
This is a hosted whole-home stay, not a staffed resort. There is no front desk or lift, and check-in must be coordinated in advance. The walk from the port takes roughly ten to fifteen minutes and climbs through the village; ask about the property's arranged car if luggage, heat or mobility makes that unrealistic. Confirm the exact unit, bed layout, balcony, kitchen equipment and cancellation conditions before payment. Expedia currently lists the property, but summer inventory is extremely small and a search result is not proof that your dates remain bookable.
