Santorini’s cave-house original
Perivolas began with a cluster of 300-year-old cave homes and stables restored gradually by the Psychas family. The result feels less like a newly imposed resort than a small settlement rediscovered on the quieter edge of Oia. White curves frame the caldera, while the famous pool follows the cliff without competing with it.
Suites favour sculpted space, private terraces and a deliberate absence of visual noise. The mood is intimate and grown-up, best suited to couples who want Oia within walking distance but value silence when they return. It remains one of Santorini’s clearest examples of luxury created through place, patience and proportion.
