Three kilometres buy much larger plates
Raki Mezé sits in a village roughly three kilometres outside Sitia, setting tables beneath a mulberry tree away from the harbour strip. Mixed grills, lamb, stuffed pork and vegetable meze arrive in oversized sharing portions, with local producers supplying much of the kitchen.
Drive or arrange a taxi; the roadside location does not suit a casual walk back after raki. Order half the number of plates you first consider, reserve on summer evenings and request staggered service, since busy nights have produced ten-minute gaps between mains and uncleared starter dishes.
What visitors say
Raki Mezé rates 4.9 from about 60 Tripadvisor reviews; mixed grill, lamb, vegetarian range, portion size and low prices recur, while peak-night sequencing remains the clearest friction point.
