Panagia climbs for charcoal
To Araliki occupies a small stone-and-plaster room on Theodorou Poulidou, partway up Kavala's Panagia quarter. Couples and hungry families come for charcoal meat, courgette, tzatziki and plates built for sharing, with pavement tables pressed against the old-town lane.
Portions run large. Start with two starters and one main between two, then add only if needed; the uphill walk is steep, Monday and Tuesday closures narrow the week, and lunch avoids the tightest evening squeeze.
