The landmark above Arachova’s rooftops
Arachova’s clock tower, known locally as Ora, rises above the tiled roofs on a steep rock outcrop. The landmark itself is modest; the reward is seeing how tightly the town fits its slope, with lanes and stairways stacked beneath Parnassus.
Include it in a longer walk through the old centre rather than driving for a single viewpoint. Steps can be slippery in rain, frost or snow, and parking nearby is limited. Early morning is calmer than a winter weekend afternoon.
