Cross the short channel early, choosing Vrika or Voutoumi by boat traffic rather than trying to claim both in one crowded stop
Antipaxos lies only a few nautical miles from Gaios, yet a day there works best when it is not bolted onto every west-coast cave. Taxi boats and excursions usually focus on Vrika or Voutoumi, two pale northern beaches with striking clear water and seasonal food. Paths into the low interior offer a quieter contrast, but the island has little conventional settlement or service.
Take an early boat, confirm the final return and keep enough cash for food or an alternative taxi. Shade and seating are finite, and large excursion vessels can change the beaches quickly around midday. Do not swim behind manoeuvring boats or assume a return from a different cove. Private renters need the correct licence, a proper briefing and suitable weather; a skipper is the better choice for anyone unfamiliar with local channels.
