Pack for Paxos's longest unorganised beach, where pebbles, deep colour and no services reward an early self-sufficient visit
Kipiadi gives more room than many of Paxos's small coves. The long shore is pebbled rather than sandy, with clear blue-green water and a green backdrop between the island's main harbour villages. There are no organised services, which keeps the setting simple but transfers every practical responsibility to the visitor. Boats may anchor offshore during settled weather.
Bring water, food, shade, water shoes and everything required to carry rubbish out. The access path and final road conditions should be checked locally, particularly after rain, and informal roadside parking must leave turning room. Pebbles become unstable at the waterline and depth can increase, so supervise children closely. There is no reason to play music across the shore or use surrounding vegetation as a toilet; leave the place ready for the next person.
