Read the island beyond its harbour on a flexible walk shaped by heat, wind and your own water supply
Pserimos has no need for a vehicle, but that does not make its paths effortless. Beyond the waterfront, goat tracks and rough lanes climb into a spare landscape with views towards Kalymnos, Kos and the Turkish coast. A short out-and-back can be as revealing as an ambitious island crossing.
Ask locally which path is clear, download an offline map and start soon after sunrise. Carry more water than expected, wear closed shoes and avoid cliff edges. Do not follow livestock paths blindly; turn back early enough to reach the village before heat or fading light becomes a problem.
