Stay beyond the excursion-boat rush to experience Pserimos's harbour beach at its gentlest
Avlakia is both village waterfront and the island's easiest swim. Sand, gradual entry and nearby food make it practical for families, though incoming excursion boats can transform the quiet bay around late morning. Boat movements and wash deserve attention even inside the sheltered harbour.
Swim early or after the day boats leave, keep clear of working craft and ask before using restaurant loungers. Facilities are seasonal rather than guaranteed. Overnight visitors should never assume that a busy noon waterfront means shops or kitchens will remain open that evening.
