Aegina's easiest sandy beach for a full family day
Agia Marina is the straightforward choice when a beach day needs to work without much planning. Sand continues into shallow water, seasonal operators cover the central shore, and the village begins immediately behind it. That convenience attracts excursion traffic in high summer, so arrive early for a calmer swim or walk toward the edges for more room.
The bay is generally gentle, but afternoon wind can roughen the surface. Families should still supervise children around pedal boats and the marked water-sports lanes. The Temple of Aphaia sits uphill, making this one of the few Aegina beaches that combines naturally with a major archaeological visit.
