Fanari Beach

Fanari combines clear pebble shallows, accessible facilities and several seasonal beach bars, making it practical for families but rarely secluded in summer.

Our take

Meganisi's easiest full-service beach, with comfort and summer energy included

Fanari is the beach to choose when access and services matter. The municipal guide lists organised seating, beach bars, a lifeguard service, free nearby parking and accessibility for disabled visitors. Those provisions make it easier than the island's small natural coves, but they also create music, vehicle traffic and a livelier shoreline. Confirm that the accessible route and lifeguard cover are operating on your specific date.

Arrive early for a calmer swim and a more manageable parking area. Pebbles call for water shoes, and clear water does not remove the need to assess wind, boat movement and depth. Paid daybeds belong to individual businesses; ordinary shore access remains separate, so ask the price and minimum spend before settling. Walkers can approach from Atherinos or Katomeri, but the partly lit return route needs water, sun protection and a torch near dusk.
