Limonari Beach

Limonari is a clear-water pebble and rock beach reached from Katomeri, quieter in feel than Fanari but still provided with limited seasonal food.

Our take

A southeast-facing cove that balances natural character with one seasonal canteen

Limonari gives the southeast coast a useful middle ground. It feels more natural than Fanari, yet the municipal listing records one organised canteen, child-friendly conditions and free parking. The shore mixes pebbles and rock, which produces clear water but an uneven entry. Water shoes help, and adults should assess the exact depth and footing before describing it as easy for a child.

Katomeri is about 1.6 kilometres away on the official walking route, with only partial lighting. Walk early, carry water and keep a torch for a late return even when the canteen is expected to open. Drivers should use marked or already disturbed parking areas rather than vegetation. One seasonal concession does not guarantee a toilet, shower, lifeguard or shade for every date, so bring the essentials and check wind locally before leaving the village.
