An exposed eastern bay that only makes sense after checking the day's wind and road
Farkero is one of the island's more committing beach choices. The eastern bay opens away from the sheltered harbour and has little surrounding development, making it attractive to independent travellers with transport and a stable forecast. The water can look exceptional, but exposure is precisely why it should remain a conditional plan rather than the fixed centre of a short stay.
Ask locally about the current road, mobile reception and safest entry point. Carry all water, food, shade and first-aid essentials, and assume there is no lifeguard, toilet or rescue service on site. If wind, waves or an awkward water entry make anyone uncertain, leave and use Bilali or Zepagas. Avoid lighting fires, moving stones or driving beyond established access, and return with every item brought to the shore.
