Kentri Beach

Kentri is a pebbled swimming shore north of central Galaxidi, useful for a longer beach stop than the tiny Pera Panta coves allow.

Our take

Choose the north side of town when you want a broader shore and an easier road approach

Kentri suits travellers who want to separate their swim from the old-town walk. The shore is broader than Galaxidi's pocket coves and looks across the Gulf of Itea, yet it remains close enough for a short drive or determined walk. It is a practical local beach, not a resort complex, so the experience depends on water conditions and what you carry.

Pebbles continue through parts of the entry, making water shoes useful. Service levels change by season and stretch of shore; bring your own shade and water unless you have confirmed an operating beach business. Wind across the gulf can add chop in the afternoon. Park without narrowing the access road, leave gates clear and do not assume every undeveloped-looking strip is public.
