The easiest sandy beach for a short stay near Anafi's port
Kleisidi is the practical first swim after arriving at Agios Nikolaos. Its sandy shore lies below a small accommodation cluster and closer to the port than Roukounas, while the curved bay often feels less exposed than the long open beaches farther east. Families still need to assess the day's depth, wind and boat movement; a compact sandy bay is not a guarantee of flat water or lifeguard cover.
Access involves the coast road and a final slope or path, depending on the starting point. The seasonal bus may reduce the walk, but its timetable matters more for the return climb than the outward trip. Bring water and shade even when nearby tavernas or rooms appear open, because provision is seasonal. Leave the landing and access route clear, take rubbish out and avoid spreading towels across the full narrow shore on busy August days.
