Choose Myrina's easy-going northern beach when shallow entry and nearby food matter most
Riha Nera means shallow water, and the gradual entry makes the beach a practical choice for families and less confident swimmers in calm conditions. It is close enough to central Myrina for a walk or short ride, yet it has more of a summer beach-strip character than Romeikos Gialos. Restaurants and bars sit immediately behind parts of the sand.
Shallow does not mean risk-free. Wind can create chop and inflatable toys can drift, so supervise children and follow any lifeguard instructions. Music and lounger density vary widely by section; walk before settling if you prefer a quieter patch. Outside high season, carry your own water and shade because businesses may not be operating.
