The only stay on Small Prespa's inhabited island
Staying on Agios Achillios changes the island from a monument stop into a lived landscape. The small guesthouse is reached across the floating footbridge, with the ruined basilica, grazing land and Small Prespa light available before and after the daytime flow of visitors. Its attached restaurant and local food are practical on an island with no conventional village centre.
This choice requires realistic luggage and mobility planning. Cars remain on the mainland and the footbridge is long, exposed and may move underfoot; ask the property about transfers, weather and the exact walk before booking. Services are limited, so confirm meals, check-in and payment arrangements. Respect residents, livestock and archaeological ground, carry a light after dark and do not approach reedbeds or bird colonies for a closer photograph.
