Arkasa Palace

A low-rise collection of suites and villas near Arkasa, offering kitchen facilities, west-coast sunsets and room categories with private pools or outdoor jetted tubs.

Our take

Independent suites and private pools on the sunset coast

Arkasa Palace spreads through four low buildings above Karpathos’ quieter west coast. The accommodation is closer to a polished apartment or villa than a conventional hotel room: even smaller suites have a fridge, microwave and hob, while family layouts add a second bedroom and premium categories open to private pools or outdoor jetted tubs. A shared pool, children’s section and garden provide an easy centre to the property, and Arkasa’s tavernas are around ten minutes away on foot. Sea-facing terraces catch the island’s best sunsets.

The long list of categories requires careful reading. A jetted tub is not necessarily hot, pools may be shared or private, and some terraces offer more seclusion than others. Breakfast hours are relatively early, the pool bar does not operate all day, and there is no full dinner restaurant; a car remains the most flexible way to reach beaches and Pigadia, 16 kilometres away. Arkasa Palace is Karpathos’ best self-contained suite hotel for couples and families who want space, a pool and village access on the less-developed side of the island.
