Sleep inside a former cocoon house instead of merely photographing one
Koukouli is the accommodation with the clearest relationship to Soufli's story. The building once served cocoon production, so its scale, stonework and upper volume belong to the same architecture explained in the museums. With only a small number of rooms, a garden and central position, it offers an atmospheric base without separating guests from the town's ordinary streets and evening quiet.
Historic character does not make rooms identical. Ask about the precise room, stairs, bed layout, bathroom, sound and heating before booking, and confirm whether parking is on site or nearby. Breakfast and bar arrangements may change, particularly with low occupancy. The official hotel classification lists year-round operation, but direct confirmation is still wise. Travellers with reduced mobility should discuss entrance and internal circulation rather than relying on the age of an online review.
