Family-scale local history beyond the main industrial narrative
Gnafala is smaller and more personal than Soufli's two headline silk museums. Its collections range across traditional clothing, jewellery, ecclesiastical and military objects, handwork and a substantial photographic archive. That breadth helps recover everyday lives that can disappear when the town is explained only through factories and merchant architecture. Seasonal silkworm rearing may also be shown between late spring and midsummer.
