A family-friendly base at the windsurfing end of Paros
Saint George occupies Paros’s quieter southeast coast, where the hotel garden and pool face the open Aegean beside New Golden Beach. It is a particularly convincing family resort: rooms and two-bedroom suites sleep up to four, breakfast is included, and the playground, children’s meals and babysitting options solve practical needs without turning the property into a theme park. Adults still get a handsome sea-facing pool, an à-la-carte restaurant, a small gym and massage treatments on request. The beach is the real reason to come, especially for windsurfers, while confident swimmers also have long, clear water directly below the hotel.
The open coast is exposed to the meltemi. That creates excellent sailing and windsurfing conditions but can make a supposedly lazy beach day blustery, so families should treat the pool as a useful alternative. New Golden Beach is removed from Parikia and Naousa—both are roughly half an hour by car—and nearby evening choice is limited compared with the island’s towns. A car is strongly recommended, and sea-view room categories are worth selecting explicitly. Saint George is Paros’s best full-service beach stay for active families and couples who want days organised around water, not nightly journeys into Naousa.
