Home cooking and local meat in Magganitis
Feroi gives a meal in Magganitis more substance than a quick beach stop. The kitchen draws on local vegetables and its own meat, with soufiko, kathoura cheese, goat or pork dishes and slow-cooked plates carrying more of Ikaria's domestic food tradition than a generic seaside menu. A large terrace looks across the south coast.
Stop here before or after Seychelles Beach, but do not assume continuous daily hours: the restaurant lists summer, holidays and selected weekends rather than a simple year-round schedule. Ask which cooked dishes are ready and whether local wine is available by the carafe. Drivers should account for Ikaria's slow tunnel road and avoid alcohol before the return journey.
