See Parga's harbour from the tiny chapel island directly opposite Kryoneri
Panagia islet sits close enough to Kryoneri Beach to feel like part of the town rather than an offshore excursion. Its white chapel, trees and low fortification traces frame the harbour from almost every waterfront angle. Seeing it from the quay is effortless; landing provides the reverse view toward the stacked houses and castle ridge.
Do not treat the short water gap as automatically swimmable. Boat traffic, current, depth and changing weather make an informal crossing risky, particularly after dark or without a visible safety escort. Ask locally about a licensed small-boat visit or paddle arrangement and use a life jacket. The chapel may be closed and the islet has uneven rock, no dependable facilities and sensitive vegetation. Carry out everything and keep clear during services or local events.
