Approach Paxos's natural rock arch as an exposed coastal walk, not a balancing challenge for a photograph
Tripitos, also called Kamara, is a limestone arch left after part of a sea cave collapsed. The land approach from the Ozias area passes olive groves before the final terrain becomes rocky and exposed. Seeing the arch from solid ground makes the west coast's erosion immediately clear; it also reveals why sea conditions control boat routes around southern Paxos.
This is not a casual flip-flop walk. Use a current route, closed shoes and offline navigation, and turn back if the path becomes unclear or wind makes balance uncertain. There are unprotected drops, no reliable shade or water and limited parking on local tracks. Do not walk across the arch, approach the edge for a photograph or fly a drone over other visitors. A licensed skipper provides a safer alternative view when the sea is calm.
