Begin at the quay after the morning delivery activity settles, climb gently above the houses and continue through olive ground toward the north. Views open across the channel to Kalamos and the mainland. A short version returns after the first coves; a longer day can reach Agios Aimilianos. The route reveals scale and settlement more effectively than a rushed boat circuit.
Ask a resident or host which paths are open, since gates, vegetation and surface condition change. Download an offline map but treat local directions and signs as authoritative. Carry water, sun protection and a light; avoid midday heat and never walk remote ground after dark. Close gates, keep clear of livestock, do not pick fruit and observe absolute fire caution during the dry season.
